The San Francisco Fine Print Fair is an annual exhibition and sale which takes place in February at Fort Mason. This beautiful and historic venue is located on the marina with a view of San Francisco Bay and the Golden Gate Bridge. Eighteen select fine art dealers from United States and Canada will come together to exhibit and offer for sale inventories comprising five centuries of fine prints ranging from Old Master to Contemporary. The public is invited to view and buy original etchings by Rembrandt, woodcuts by Dürer, lithographs by Picasso, Matisse and Chagall, German Expressionist prints, prints by Hiroshige and Hokusai and California artists, and many more major and minor artists.
The show offers connoisseurs and new collectors alike, an opportunity to examine and learn about the history of printmaking, printmaking techniques and the work of many artists. The show gives the public a rare opportunity to ask questions from knowledgeable dealers.
